TOSRV (Tour of the Scioto River Valley)

May 15, 2026 May 17, 2026

TOSRV – May 15–17, 2026

All routes begin and end at Yoctangee Park in Chillicothe, Ohio, creating a true home base for the entire weekend. Camp once, settle in, and enjoy two full days of riding, community, and celebration.

The routes blend the best of the traditional TOSRV experience with new options that explore the roads, trails, and terrain surrounding Chillicothe. Riders can choose from rolling countryside, challenging hill routes, or a flat trail alternative along the Paint Creek Trail.

Saturday features the iconic ride to Waverly along Three Locks Road, with multiple return options that range from scenic and relaxed to more demanding loops through Tar Hollow and the surrounding hills. A gravel option through Scioto Trail State Forest is also in the mix for those looking to mix things up.

Saturday Route Options:
58 miles (1,700 ft) – Chillicothe to Waverly & return east of the Scioto River
68 miles (2,700 ft) – Return through Tar Hollow
93 miles (4,100 ft) – Full southern loop & Tar Hollow return
100 miles (4,300 ft)

Sunday heads north toward Circleville, following the traditional State Route 104 corridor, with added loop options through Tarlton and Kingston for those looking to extend the ride.

Sunday Route Options:
50 miles (1,500 ft) – Short out-and-back
65 miles (2,000 ft) – Extended return
75 miles (2,300 ft) – Extra loop option
100 miles (2,500 ft) – Includes Paint Creek Trail

Looking for something shorter or flatter? The Paint Creek Trail offers a 34-mile rail trail between Chillicothe and Washington Court House, perfect for a more relaxed ride or a custom “build your own” distance.

This flexible format allows you to shape your own weekend. Ride light miles, go big with elevation, or mix in a bit of everything.

More Than a Ride — A Weekend Experience

TOSRV 2026 is more than just the miles. With Yoctangee Park as our hub, the weekend takes on a festival atmosphere with post-ride meals, gathering spaces, and a strong sense of community.

On Saturday evening, we’ll head into downtown Chillicothe for a special 65th anniversary celebration. Just a short ride from the park, riders can enjoy a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere featuring:

  • A cycling film screening at the Majestic Theatre
  • Live music in the green space between the theatre and Pour House
  • Food, drinks, and local flavor
  • A curated display of vintage TOSRV memorabilia, including historic bikes and stories from the ride’s early days

It’s a simple, meaningful way to connect the ride’s history with the people and places that make it special today.

TOSRV: A Bucket List Cycling Tradition Since 1962

What began as a father-son adventure has grown into one of the most iconic cycling events in the country. For over 60 years, TOSRV has welcomed thousands of riders and helped shape bicycle touring in America.

Still one of the longest-running tours in the nation, TOSRV continues to evolve while staying true to its roots. Whether it’s your first ride or your fifteenth, this is a weekend that brings riders together in a way that feels both timeless and new.
