All routes begin and end at Yoctangee Park in Chillicothe, Ohio, creating a true home base for the entire weekend. Camp once, settle in, and enjoy two full days of riding, community, and celebration.
The routes blend the best of the traditional TOSRV experience with new options that explore the roads, trails, and terrain surrounding Chillicothe. Riders can choose from rolling countryside, challenging hill routes, or a flat trail alternative along the Paint Creek Trail.
Saturday features the iconic ride to Waverly along Three Locks Road, with multiple return options that range from scenic and relaxed to more demanding loops through Tar Hollow and the surrounding hills.

68 miles (2,700 ft) – Return through Tar Hollow
93 miles (4,100 ft) – Full southern loop & Tar Hollow return

Sunday heads north toward Circleville, following the traditional State Route 104 corridor, with added loop options through Tarlton and Kingston for those looking to extend the ride.

The Paint Creek Trail: offers a 34-mile rail trail between Chillicothe and Washington Court House, perfect for a more relaxed ride or a custom “build your own” distance.
More Than a Ride — A Weekend Experience
TOSRV 2026 is more than just the miles. With Yoctangee Park as our hub, the weekend takes on a festival atmosphere with post-ride meals, gathering spaces, and a strong sense of community.
On Saturday evening, we’ll head into downtown Chillicothe for a special 65th anniversary celebration. Just a short ride from the park, riders can enjoy a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere featuring:
- A cycling film screening at the Majestic Theatre
- Live music in the green space between the theatre and Pour House
- The Pour House will have the Food, drinks, and local flavor
- A curated display of vintage TOSRV memorabilia, including historic bikes and stories from the ride’s early days

What began as a father-son adventure has grown into one of the most iconic cycling events in the country. For over 60 years, TOSRV has welcomed thousands of riders and helped shape bicycle touring in America.
Still one of the longest-running tours in the nation, TOSRV continues to evolve while staying true to its roots. Whether it’s your first ride or your fifteenth, this is a weekend that brings riders together in a way that feels both timeless and new.
Paint Creek Trail, formerly known as Adena Recreational Trail or the Triangle Trail, is a great unsupported Friday Option. TOSRV check-in and camp availability will open at 4 pm on Friday.

Riders can choose a straight forward out-and-back or extend the day with hillier return options that explore southern routes, including Tar Hollow State Park. A potential gravel loop in Scioto Trail State Forest is also being explored for those seeking an added challenge.

Bikepack to TOSRV

Saturday
10:00 am Meet Your Bikepacking Leaders at Washington Splash Pad Parking Lot –Be sure your bike is ready to ride: Tuned-up, Tires, lights, helmet, and ready to roll; spare tires, tools, etc.

10:30 am Wheels up and we all will travel together to the TOSRV Festival in Yoctangee Park, Chillicothe, Ohio.
12:00-12:30 Austin Mill Brewing Company – Locally owned brewery sitting right on the trail. They will have a food truck. Or, if you prefer, Scoops from Frankfort will have a menu available for us and they will deliver directly to the Brewery.
1:30-2:00 Scoops in Frankfort – Just a few miles down the road, save room for dessert, because this little ice cream shop has soft serve ice cream and hard ice cream. Of course, they also have sundaes, milkshakes and cones. Also, this town has some very nice
2:00-3:30 Final Leg to Yoctangee Park in Chillicothe. We will pass through part of the NPS Hopewell Mound Group. You can view several of the mounds from the trail. We will explore this area if you wish. There is also a nice area with restrooms available here. We will continue to the park, set up for the evening. After you’re set up, please enjoy the TOSRV festival, which will include music and food.
Sunday
Rise & shine will be at your personal alarm clock. Breakfast will be what you bring with you, or you can take the very short trip to downtown Chillicothe. I found a very cute coffee shop called Café Chillicoffee on 2nd Street. The plan is to be packed up and leave around 10:00am to head back to our cars.
PARKING OVERNIGHT: Park your vehicles at the Washington Splash Pad Parking Lot. I have obtained permission from the Washington Courthouse Chief of Police and the City Manager for us to park there. The lot will be monitored.

Things to Remember:
· Saturday’s dinner is included – You are responsible for any other meals
· You need to carry your Sunday breakfast if you are not eating at the festival or restaurants, snacks for both days and enough water. There are a couple locations along the trail to refill your water bottle if needed.
· You are responsible for bringing your tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pad, camp clothes and camp shoes and personal items. It’s a good idea to have a flashlight or headlamp.

Indoor Sleeping & Showers (Limited Availability)
Indoor gym floor sleeping space and showers are available at the Ross County YMCA, located adjacent to Yoctangee Park.
This option is included with registration but limited to 100 participants.
Access for both camping and indoor sleeping begins Friday at 3:00 PM.
