You may have met COP board member Bill Corbett on a recent COP bike event. Bill has helped out with many of these events this season and if it wasn't for him, some of the budget trips wouldn't have happened!
Thank you Bill!

Bill was born in Yonkers, New York and moved to upstate New York with his family when he was in high school. He completed an Associate’s degree in automotive technology at Hudson Valley Community College and began his career in residential care for juvenile delinquents in 1981. He spent 26 years in this field completing his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology in 1992 at The College of Saint Rose. In 2002, he had and took an opportunity to become the Executive Director at Capital Region Sponsor-A- Scholar in Albany, New York helping disadvantaged students graduate from high school and go onto college. He developed the program from having no college graduates to boasting 185 by the time he left in 2015.

Additionally, the program had a college graduation rate 8 times the national average, for this student subset. His wife had a substantial career opportunity moving in Mid-March of 2015, to The Ohio State University with Bill following her in October, 2015 landing a job at Habitat for Humanity Mid-Ohio.

He has been a Rotarian for 14 years, is a Paul Harris fellow, has held the position of club president, assistant governor and District Grant sub-committee chair. He is marred 35 years and has two gainfully employed boys, Billy, an admissions counselor at Dartmouth College, married to Kayla, living in Etna, New Hampshire and Ryan, intermural coordinator at Siena College, who lives rent free in his home in Voorheesville, New York.

Thank you Bill!
