Host cities: Bowling Green, Port Clinton, and Fremont.
The 2025 GOBA Route is a 7-8 day cycling tour on paved, low-traffic roads that gives you the chance to discover the scenic and historic attractions of northern Ohio, with different choices for distances and challenges. The overview is below. Click on any tab along the top for details on each specific day’s routes, host communities, and attractions.
1st SATURDAY OPTION: Join the Bowling Green Community Ride with your entry to “GOBA+1” or the “GOBA Weekend” registration packages. This ride will benefit a local organization TBD and offer routes from 20-62 miles.
– SUNDAY OPTION: Take the first GOBA Loop from Bowling Green, which has two options of 39 or 50 miles along the Maumee River.
– MONDAY: Ride from Bowling Green to Port Clinton on a 49-mile route along the scenic Portage River. Port Clinton is a favorite community on Lake Erie that offers numerous attractions.
– TUESDAY OPTION: Enjoy GOBA’s most popular route – the Marblehead, Lakeside, Catawba Peninsula loop. The full loop is 44 miles with additional options to ferry to the islands.
– WEDNESDAY OPTION: Today’s routes of 51 or 100 miles travel south and east. You can also use this day to take your bike on the ferry to the islands and explore all they have to offer. We’ll also offer a shuttle to the famous Cedar Point Amusement Park. So many things to do!
– THURSDAY: Ride from Port Clinton to Fremont on routes of 28 or 50 miles. Enjoy the GOBA BBQ event at the Rutherford B Hayes Presidential Library and Museums.
– FRIDAY OPTION: Enjoy routes of 38 and 50 miles to Tiffin. You’ll discover a small city with two big universities! Friday night brings longstanding traditions at GOBAville in Fremont. We’ll serve you dinner and then host the annual talent show. Afterward, we’ll bring in professional musicians to provide good vibrations for our last party together.
– SATURDAY: Return from Fremont to Bowling Green, completing your journey with 40 miles. Celebrate your achievements and share your memories with fellow riders.
For the second year, we’ll be offering these popular formats:
Traditional GOBA – 7 days of riding from Sunday – to Saturday.
“GOBA +1” – 8 days of riding from Saturday – Saturday.
“GOBA Weekend” – June 14th and 15th, 2 days of riding on Saturday & Sunday. This is ideal for new bicycle tourists or those unable to commit to an entire week of GOBA.
“GOBA +1” and “GOBA Weekend” will check in and have access to camp facilities on Friday afternoon. Traditional GOBA will have access beginning Saturday afternoon.
