Columbus Urban Parks Bike Tour (18 April 2021)
A professionally guided bike tour that stops at 5 exceptional city parks. Learn the history and backstory of the green spaces that make Columbus such a great city! This is a no-drop ride, which means the group rides at comfortable speed and stays together. The tour is designed to be fun and interesting. Our expert guide will adjust the pace to make everyone comfortable. We will cycle through neighborhood streets, stopping at each park for a rest and interesting talk.
Guides: Our tour guides are expert cycists and Columbus certified tourism ambassadors (CTA).
Time: About 2.5 hours for the entire tour.
Distance: 12 miles, but with multiple stops and rests at the parks.
Bikes: You may bring your own bike and helmet, or we can supply one. Indicate if you require them when you register. Our bikes are easy-to-ride, 7-speed cruiser-style models. We require all riders to wear a helmet.
Helmets: All riders are required to wear a fastened bike helmet on our tours – no exceptions. If you do not have a helmet, we can provide one free-of-charge.
What to Bring: Water or a cold beverage. Closed-toe shoes are safest for cycling (no flip-flops). Dress for the weather.
COVID-19 Safety: Our tour is outside and riders can remain safely distanced from one another. Do bring a face mask. Our bikes and helmets are sanitized. We also limit the size of the group size to 10 people.
Restrooms: Clean, sanitized restrooms available at our office. There is also a port-a-potty at one of the parks, midway through the tour.
Cancellation: If unsafe weather is occuring or imminent (thunderstorm, lightning, high winds, torrential rain) we will ask you to reschedule or provide a full refund. We do not provide refunds for no-shows.
