
Join trip leader Jim Villacres for a weekend hiking about 18 miles in the Otter Creek Wilderness of West Virginia’s Monongahela National Forest. The Otter Creek Wilderness is the second largest wilderness area in West Virginia, and is popular for its cascading mountain streams and abundant laurel and rhododendron thickets.
Friday drive to the trailhead and gather to hike five miles to the first campsite. Saturday hike nine miles. Sunday hike 4.6 miles to complete the loop back to the trailhead and drive home.
