Play in the snow with Columbus Outdoor Pursuits!
When the snow falls, COP volunteers are out with cross country skiing and shoeshowing trips. We head to the various metro parks in the Central Ohio area. COP also may head north or east to a number of state parks or even to Cuyahoga Valley National Park in northeast Ohio. We also offer an annual winter getaway in Pennsylvania where participants can enjoy a variety of snow-bound activities and catch up with friends, new and old.
Unless otherwise noted in the trip description, all COP cross country trips are geared toward beginner skiers. Let’s face it, there is not enough snow that falls around here for even the trip leaders to be elite ski athletes!
Members also enjoy ski rentals through COP. Again, since it really doesn’t snow that much around here, try out skiing before you commit money to the sport!
