    Intro to Kayaking

    Saturday, July 8  9:00 - 1:00

These classes are fun, 4 hour introductions to recreational kayaking taught by experienced and qualified instructors and assistants.

The class will be held at Alum Creek State Park and will have a small instructor to student ratio to keep students safe and comfortable while learning.

Dry land instruction will cover how to properly fit life jackets, proper paddle handling and fit, and how to outfit your boat for a comfortable paddling experience...plus many other boating topics or questions you may have.

On the water instruction will cover strokes and the most important skill of all...how to stay upright!

These classes will prepare you for paddling the many local reservoirs, ponds, and lakes in and around Central Ohio.  You'll be able to explore the many coves of Alum Creek State Park reservoir or discover the hidden fishing spots scattered along the Hoover reservoir shoreline.  Come learn the skills that can get you out on the water and back to shore safely.

    Cost: $40.00/Members -  $50.00/Non-Members

    Location: Alum Creek State Park.
